Goodman is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Manufacturing Engineer. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes (fabrication and assembly), cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives, processing and implementing engineering changes and introduction of new products on time and within budgets.If you meet the qualifications listed below, then we invite you to apply for our open position by visiting our website at www.careersatgoodman.com

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, drives, justifies, sells, manages, and implements capital / non-capital projects for cost reduction, quality, and warranty improvement, delivery, and best business practice to meet / exceed customer requirements and Goodman Quality Objectives
  • Leads / supports Plant methods and processes such as PFMEA, DFP analysis, 8D root cause & is/is-not problem solving, DOE's, capability studies, control plans, OMS, etc.
  • Leads, establishes, understands, troubleshoots, and improves upon Plant manufacturing processes and equipment out on the shop floor
  • Performs routing and BOM analysis and work for engineering changes and interacts closely with design engineering on product engineering changes / implementation
  • Performs / implements classical IE work such as line and work element balancing, time studies, labor efficiency and work flow improvements; Plant floor layouts, updates, and improvements


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical of Mfg. Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum computer skills needed are Windows, MS Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and AutoCAD.
  • Demonstration of good, solid factory project management experience and skill.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional manufacturing processes in a manufacturing.
  • HVAC experience desireable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact well at all levels, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment a must.
  • 5 years Mfg. Engineering experience in a Plant manufacturing environment.
