Manufacturing Engineer / Procurement 

Outstanding opportunity for an experienced Engineer or Manager to manage the Purchasing function of our successful, multi line production facility in Danielson, CT.   Reporting to the V.P. Finance, the Procurement Manager develops company-wide policies, procedures and objectives for the operation of the purchasing program in accordance with corporate strategy.  It is critical that the Manager maintain an expert understanding of the process flow involved in the execution of purchasing transactions.  It is also the expectation that the Procurement Manager will identify potential savings and design programs to reduce the number and average processing cost per transaction.

Recommended Qualifications: 

• B.S. degree required


• 7 years purchasing, contract negotiation, and supplier qualification experience in an ISO certified manufacturing entity


• Metals buying experience required


• Hands-on, detail oriented individual


• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines essential


• Key to this position is understanding manufacturing processes, and ability to both plan and execute strategic buys.
