Pactiv Corporation, a specialty packaging manufacturer of Foodservice, Consumer and Specialty products, is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to work a 12 hour shift (with rotating days off) at our Wanatah, IN location. Flexibility to work day or night shift required.

The successful candidate will perform mechanical and electrical repair and troubleshoot equipment problems on foil processing equipment. Responsibilities will include machining miscellaneous items including components using mills, lathes and surface grinders to accomplish repairs, Arc,MIG and gas welding to modify equipment and make new fixtures, replacing motors, gearboxes, chain drive components, rollers and other items, performing frequent preventive maintenance functions on all equipment to prevent unplanned downtime, troubleshooting and repairing AC and DC motor controls, single and 3 phase electrical circuits, electronic drives and PLC controls, installing electrical conduit and machine wiring, installing motors up to 10hp; fabricating and installing brackets and mounting for electrical boxes and disconnects, inspecting, testing and cleaning AC and DC motors. Candidate will also be responsible for building and facility maintenance.

HS diploma/GED and previous experience working in a manufacturing/maintenance environment is required. Ability to speak, read, and write proficiently in English needed.
