Description
Responsible for overall direction, planning, and coordination of manufacturing and service activiites to fully utilize the plant's facilities and assigned personnel. Responsible for the effective management of all production and service operations including constant appraisal of operating costs, budgets, manufacturing methods and processes for the purpose of instituting improvements as required. Maintains liaison with plant engineering function for the purpose of tooling, methods and manufacturing process changes and regarding new product design versus adaptation to economical manufacturing. Responsible for all equipment and production equipment layout. Maintains liaison with the accounting relative to manufacturing costs and cost improvements. Directs the activities of the work areas assigned including organization, staffing, budgets and supervision of subordinates. Keeps management informed to major developments, progress and problems in the overall business.
Requirements
Must have at least 10 years of qualified Compression Manufacturing Plant experience within a production environment. Ideal candidate will have experience with safety management, program development and deployment, quality control and ISO 9001 industry standards and requirements,, and proficiency with machining/manufacturing tooling. As a key business partner to the organization, this team leader will be required to champion, motivate and display strong leadership skills, be an excellent communicator, demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and ownership. Performance management, and acting as change agent to push through organizational initiatives and meet company production standards will be key. Bachelor's degree preferred.
