•Manage performance of personnel in the department including training and development, any necessary disciplinary action, and annual performance reviews.
•Monitor workload for schedules and schedule work accordingly.
•Assure a quality product is produced in a timely fashion, and is in conformance to requirements.
•Reduce cost through process analysis.
•Responsible for ordering tooling supplies and other equipment for Assembly.
•Work with VP of Operations and HR on recruiting and hiring talent for department.
•Work on quality standards and the continuous improvement of products and processes.
•Support World-Class Checkout process by following checkout procedures.
•Responsible for the documentation and implementation of training and orientation.
•Keep Assembly area safe, clean and professionally organized by having a daily, weekly, and monthly clean-up program.
•Support safely policies by participating in the safety committee.
•Oversee and assist employees with questions.
•Know proper application of building OEM.
•Capable of reading and understanding blueprints.
•Capable of hand layout and drilling.
•Completes other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
•2 year technical college degree preferred.
•4+ years Supervisory experience required.
•Team player and team builder with string coaching, interpersonal and technical skills.
•Scheduling and process analysis experience preferred.
•Must be able to recommend design changes to improve operation and accuracy of assembly.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
