Are you a Plant Manager or multi-site Manufacturing Manager who has 8 years progressive experience managing mid-size to large manufacturing facilities in multiple locations? If so, we are looking for you.
We have an opening for a Manufacturing Operations Manager, based in Bolingbrook, IL, but with direct responsibility for plants in Ohio and Alabama.
You will be managing the full scope of operations including manufacturing; engineering; quality; materials management; safety, health and environment; and maintenance.
The multiple facilities manufacture electrical safety personal protection equipment (PPE) - with rubber forming, compression molding, and assembly operations - as well as fire services gear - clothing, gloves and helmets - in support of the Specialty Safety business unit of Honeywell's Safety Products (HSP).
Responsibilities:
- Lead Manufacturing operations to consistently meet or exceed business objectives and AOP targets for the Electrical Safety and First Responders business for HSP.
- Champion use of Six Sigma/Lean tools in driving plant improvement to develop and implement strategic initiatives relative to inventory, capacity utilization, and growth opportunities
- Improve and develop organization capabilities through effective performance management and planning/utilization of human and capital resources
- Drive cultural change, accountability and continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization to aid HOS Full Scale Deployment.
- Build positive working relationships within the global organization. Develop and maintain a highly skilled and motivated workforce to support overall business.
- Act as Main focal point for all ISC related activities driving Cost, Delivery, Quality and HSE performance.
- Establish best-in-class manufacturing processes for all products
- Provide Operations team with effective leadership, guidance and communication Responsible for manufacturing of assigned product lines.
- Maintain adequate facility and programs established by HS&E to assure all employees have safe working environment.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science degree
- 8 years of management experience in a progressive manufacturing environment
- 5 years experience in Total Quality, Six Sigma or Lean
- 3 years experience as a plant or location manager in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Masters in Engineering or Operations Management
- Six Sigma Green or Black belt
- Experience in a heavily focused HSE environment
- Lean certification
