Operations Manager



 



Medical Positioning, Inc. is seeking an experienced
Manufacturing Operations Manager to be responsible for the effective management
and coordination of production, materials management and shipping operations.

  





Position Responsibilities



 



·       
Ensures the effective performance of production
and shipping operations, including: quality, cost, optimization, customer
service, etc.



·       
Tracks plant performance, identifying areas for
improvement, and implementing actions to improve plant performance.



·       
Provides leadership to drive the plant's
materials management and safety processes, ensuring the goals and objectives
are met or exceeded.



·       
Develops and maintains systems for continuous
improvement in all processes, utilizing tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc.



·       
Audits standard work routines for kaizen
opportunities.  Develops data-driven
action plans to improve standard work and improve productivity.



·       
Effectively manages hourly assembly and other
support personnel.



·       
Maintains and monitors weekly and daily build
plan.



·       
Leads production team in meeting plant
objectives through the use of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools.



·       
Works with Finance team to maximize the
effectiveness of MRP, Kanban and ABC inventory management systems to improve
inventory turns.



·       
Ensures compliance with current Federal, State
and local regulations pertaining to GMP/QSR, ISO9001/ISO13485/ /CE and
associated regulatory agencies



·       
Evaluates complaints, NCARs, CAPAs, internal
audits findings, customer audits findings and proposes corrective and
preventive actions.



·       
Assists Department Managers to develop, plan and
revise/create procedures and implement changes/programs to meet ISO and QSR
requirements



·       
Assists in establishing and conducting company
wide training related to GMP/QSR and EU regulations pertaining to
ISO9001/ISO13485/CE. 



·       
Ensures that process requirements of 21 CFR 820,
ISO13485 & ISO 9001 are met.



·       
Documents, maintains and follows proper ISO
procedures (ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and GMP requirements pertaining to medical
devices).



·       
Evaluates associate performance and conducts
reviews.



·       
Recommends hiring and termination.



·       
Coaches, trains, and counsels associates to
improve performance.











Qualifications



 



·       
Bachelor's
degree in Operations Management, Engineering or related technical field.



·       
Minimum
of 5-10 years manufacturing experience in a durable goods industry, with 3+
years of operations/production leadership in a lean manufacturing environment.



·       
Materials
management experience required.



·       
Successful
track record of achieving operational goals.



·       
Experience
using lean systems or six sigma processes in a manufacturing environment
required.



·       
Demonstrated
knowledge, understanding, and implementation of ISO 9001 and/or ISO13485.



·       
Proven
leadership, team building and organization skills, along with the ability to
build trust and integrity.



·       
Strong
leadership skills and ability to influence others, deliver results, make an
immediate impact, and manage by fact.



·       
Experience
in medical products manufacturing preferred.



·       
Experience
in low-volume/high-mix production as well as build-to-order preferred.



·       
Experience
in low-cost region sourcing and manufacturing preferred.
