II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Performs assembly tasks related to electro-mechanical assembly subassemblies and chassis for camera control units, light sources, including assisting in the optical area.
· Performs a wide variety of complex electronic and mechanical assembly tasks in support of prototype, pre-production, and manufacturing units which include working from sketches, verbal instructions and blueprints.
· Assists in creating and reviewing assembly documentation and process sheets in the transition of new product designs from engineering into manufacturing. Learns assembly techniques for new products and successfully cross trains other employees.
· Assists with other manufacturing related functions, including surface mount assembly, assisted with the use of microscopes, traditional thru hole PC board assembly, small gauge wiring of cable harnesses.
· Assists in returned goods repair.
· Performs test procedures using test fixtures and digital meters.
· Assists with Work-In-Process (WIP) inventory, including maintaining organized and accurate kits.

V. QUALIFICATIONS:
As preferred:
High school/trade school diploma or GED required.
5-6 years’ experience in hands-on manufacturing assembly environment.
Experience with PC board build and prototype assemblies required. Ability to learn and practice good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and ISO 9000 procedures required. Ability to read English instructions and procedures, and be able to read and interpret blue-prints, and assembly documentation. Ability to communicate verbally in English. Experience with precision electrical and mechanical assembly techniques and procedures desired.
