Micro Systems Engineering, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of BIOTRONIK Gmbh., Inc. now has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Process Engineer in beautiful Portland Oregon. Relocation assistance will be provided.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will specify and implement process control procedures and introduce new processes and equipment to improve production efficiencies and support manufacturing as well as company objectives. The engineer will use proven problem solving methodologies to provide technical support to manufacturing needs. He or she will also interact with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible. This position establishes operating equipment specifications, improves manufacturing techniques, and production yields.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify automation, semi-automation, and handling improvement opportunities.
Define requirements and specifications for equipment.
Model and simulate manufacturing flows.
Specify, evaluate, select, and implement new equipment.
Optimize equipment performance for efficiency and capacity.
Lead or assist on manufacturing process development.
Integrate Manufacturing Execution System (MES) with manufacturing equipment.
Develop and deploy performance information systems based on MES or interface software.
Specify and execute installation, operation, and production qualification plans.
Assess, specify and deploy process control procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Five + years experience in electronics manufacturing (SMT preferred).
Experience in automated equipment implementation and support.
Automated assembly equipment experience.
Control systems experience.
Vision systems experience.
Motion control experience.
Machine programs experience.
Documentation development experience.
Operation requirements specifications experience.
Standard operating procedures experience.
Qualification procedures experience.
Project management experience.
Proposal development experience.
