Production Supervisor - 12 hour shifts Night Shift 6 pm to 6 am
Nice Pak Indiana Manufacturing Plant - Mooresville, IN
Essential Function:
This position is responsible to plan, direct, coordinate and communicate all manufacturing related issues
in accordance with SOP's and cGMP's in order to achieve product performance objectives. Responsible for the training and development of Team Leaders - Leads in computer based information systems. Insure that all required certifications are complete and current. This includes employee safety, product quality, waste, productivity, efficient use/reporting of materials and effective utilization of human resources.
Scope:
This position interacts with all levels of management, purchasing, warehouse, and logistic, quality, maintenance, engineering and human resources
Position Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the operation and production results of the facility to include: goal achievement, problem solving coordination, establishment of shift priorities and achievement of production results.
2. Responsible for training and development of all skilled associates. This includes current certifications and gap analysis development plans.
3. Ensure the accurate completion of required documentation per prescribed SOP's and cGMP's.
4. Develop a collaborative and effective interface with all site resources as listed in the scope.
5. Act as the SME (Subject Mater Expert) on plant computer based systems.
6. Develop, train and motivate Team Leaders through regular feedback, participation in group decision-making, open communication and setting priorities.
7. Provide leadership and direction in Safety, Quality, and Productivity through the use of continuous improvement process.
8. Evaluate job performance of Team Leaders and assist in the development of core teams.
9. Ensure compliance to company policies, cGMP's and SOP's.
10. Maintain shift performance and documentation of production results.
11. Maintain established standard of housekeeping and documentation relative to the Supervisor's area using CARE (Cleanliness Adherence Requires Everyone).
12. Ensure accuracy of department production reporting. Verify daily/weekly results and communicate to all associates.
13. Actively participate in training classes like DOL (Dynamics of Leadership) and Safety Training.
14. Act as the manufacturing representative in the absence of the Production Manager.
15. Establish a supportive relationship with all supervision in order to establish site consistency.
16. Report to the Production Manager any information, which goes beyond daily operational issues. Maintain communications regarding efficiencies, downtime, quality, issues, employee relations concerns, scheduling problems or any other information that affects the success of the operation.
17. Responsible for continuous improvement processes to include projects, initiatives, process implementation, and problem solving processes.
18. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Equivalent Education Level Requirements:
BS in Supervision or related field desired
Experience Required: 3-5 years Production Line Supervision
Knowledge Required:
1. Read, write, speak and understand English
2. Hands-on knowledge of production systems, project management, leadership skills, influence skills, root cause analysis, SPC concepts, team leadership, ability to self-generate improvement ideas and take into action, Windows operating systems.
