Manufacturing Project Engineer – Welding Fabrication

Candidate must have thorough knowledge of Precision Structural Frame Welding practices; This includes both Tubular and Sheet Metal Welding Fabrication. Expertise in the latest welding techniques and methodologies are required. Robotic Welding experience is also desirable.
CAD experience using Pro-E, SolidWorks or Inventor is also required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills required due to extensive involvement with customer Engineering Groups.
Candidate must be able to review customer requirements from Drawing and CAD data and be able to provide accurate feedback to both Customers for DFM and to Shop Floor for Process Instruction.
The ability to create accurate detailed Part, Assembly and Fixture drawings is mandatory.
Positive Attitude and willingness to take on challenging tasks to meet deadlines are a must as well as working with minimal supervision.

REQUIREMENTS
A minimum 10 years combined experience in Welding Fabrication and Project Engineering required.
Additional experience in the following is a plus.
Precision Machining
Enhance current processes by recommending new manufacturing equipment / technology.
Knowledge / Experience in the following areas;
LEAN manufacturing principles.

Cellular Manufacturing
Continuous Flow (One-Piece Flow)
Kaizen Workshops
Lean Metrics
Line Balancing
Takt Time
Value Stream Management
