Manufacturing Quality Assurance Coordinator

About the Job

Tyndale currently has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to oversee the manufacturing operations at contract manufacturing facilities located across the United States. This person will provide oversight and on-site guidance to the contractors engaged in manufacturing private label Tyndale products to ensure that all manufactured products are produced with exacting quality standards to our specifications.  This position is responsible for making decisions on all related manufacturing quality issues.

Responsibilities:   

  • Provide on-site oversight guidance and support at each contractor’s site for all manufacturing processes related to Tyndale private label goods;
  • Review all Tyndale product patterns and seam specifications to ensure optimal quality and cost considerations.  Interface between Tyndale Operations Dept. and contractor about all related issues;
  • Review all markers to maximizing yields;
  • Maintain all product specification packages and patterns to ensure all manufactured goods adhere to Tyndale specifications and requirements;
  • Implement a statistical quality control program at all contractor locations to include full garment inspection of 100% of manufactured garments.  Also, implement best-practices statistical sampling at multiple stages of manufacturing across all facilities;
  • Exercise control and independent judgment over all manufacturing quality, with estimated annual spend of greater than $14 million


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years experience in apparel manufacturing required;
  • Strong inter-personal skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong analytical competency;
  • Proven ability to identify issues, and develop and implement solutions to achieve demonstrated results;

Additional Info:

This position will consist of approximately up to 80% travel to contractor sites throughout the United States.  Travel will include a combination of regional and national travel including both car and air travel.  A current valid driver’s license is required. 

 

The position will reside out of either the corporate offices in Pipersville, PA or we will also consider a candidate working out of a remote home office in NC, SC, GA, TN, or KY where in which the contract manufacturers who private label manufacture our products are located.
