Assembly Techs  

1.      Assembly and bonding of components.

2.      General Lay-up techniques and methods.

3.      Proper care of molds; proper bagging and vacuum techniques.

4.      Responsible for proper completion of production and traceability  documentation

5.      Operate all aspects of resin transfer molding process and/or compression molding

6.      Tool preparation, part removal and basic de-flash

7.      Pressure/vacuum verification and injection.

RTM Techs

    Operate all aspects of the Resin Transfer Molding process to include:

1.      Tool preparation:

Safe and correct handling of molds and mold pieces

Correct methods of releasing the tools (release tags, proper chemical handling and use of PPE.)

Installation of tools into RTM presses

2.      Operation of the resin injector

Set up the correct shot parameters for the 2100cc, 5000cc and Pneumatic Radius machines

Run,  Disassemble and clean all 3 Radius machines

(change seals and o-rings)

Trouble shoot basic problems with all 3 Radius machines

3.      Part removal and basic de-flash

Correct disassembly of mold

Part removal, and labeling

De-flash and visual inspection of RTM parts

4.      Mold leak-check

Use of vacuum gauge to determine leak integrity of the mold

Ability to determine the cause of a leak and fix it in a timely manner

Finishing Techs

1.  Detail finishing of composite parts.

2.  Sanding, filling and paint preparation.

3. De-flashing, Grinding, milling and cutting.

4.  Proper care / maintenance of equipment and tools         

5.  Responsible for proper completion or production and traceability                                                     documentation for assigned components

Lay Up Techs
                  General lay-up techniques and methods.

1.    Proper care of lay-up tools.

2.    Proper bagging and vacuum techniques.

3.    Responsible for proper completion or production and traceability documentation for assigned
