This company specializes in the design, manufacture and integration of system packaging, back planes, power and monitoring systems, computer boards and peripherals, supplying everything from off-the-shelf standard products to fully customized commercial and MIL COTS rugged computing products and integrated rack systems for VME, VXI, PXI, cPCI, and proprietary bus systems.
The position includes working directly with the design engineering and manufacturing personnel to assemble and integrate products and tests of new product designs, develop test procedures and work in the manufacturing environment to provide leadership and technical knowledge for the manufacture and test of rugged computing devices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership and technical knowledge to manufacturing personnel
Provides assistance and interfaces with design engineering & manufacturing personnel
Required to have “ownership” of the manufacture and test of a specific product type, assuring its assembly and test accuracy
Assembles and integrates products and tests for new product designs
Creates test procedures, setups and documentation
Develops and “red lines” assembly documentation as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required
Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical lead role
Design engineering experience a plus
Familiarity with IBM BladeCenter computing and networking a plus
Familiarity of manufacturing methods preferred
Must be detail oriented, organized, very analytical
Oral and written communication skills required for interaction with engineering and manufacturing personnel
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
