Key Role:
Develop original operational and maintenance documentation for an international client's new class of warship based on review of vendor supplied Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) manuals and Government Furnished Information (GFI) related to Gyrocompass and Interior Communications (IC) equipment. Develop instructional media, including lesson plans and student and instructor guides and deliver instructional services to international defense clients in maintenance and operation. Serve as the Interior Communications subject matter expert (SME) to the pre-commissioning training team. Deliver instruction to international Navy officers and enlisted personnel in theory and fundamentals of these systems and set-up and start and secure methods of utilization under all applicable conditions. Perform material condition assessments and develop troubleshooting and repair plans for a complete surveillance system. Assist with developing combat systems operating documentation, including Combat System Operating Sequencing System (CSOSS), Planned Maintenance System, Personal Qualification Standards, and ship's electronic readiness team (SERT). Provide crew familiarization training, including import, dockside, and underway training and make recommendations for ships company watchstander certification following construction. This position requires travel to Pascagoula, MS and is located in Pensacola, FL.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with amplified voice and call systems, telephone systems, alarms and warning systems, ship's entertainment systems, gyrocompass systems, including spinning mass and ring laser, and flight deck and aviation support systems
-Experience with gyro theory and interior communications
-Experience with preparing lesson plans, curriculum development, and training
-Knowledge of general electronics maintenance and repair procedures
-Knowledge of operating and performing maintenance on electronic equipment, general purpose test equipment, and auxiliary equipment associated with interior communications systems maintenance
-Ability to work in Pensacola, FL and Pascagoula, MS
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-HS diploma or GED required
