Duties and Responsibilities: This position is instrumental to understanding transmission related impacts on market operations and resource planning efforts. The selected candidate will support daily commercial activities by providing congestion cost impact analysis of known and planned transmission and generator outages. In addition, you will participate in the evaluation, selection, and bid development for Auction Revenue Rights and Financial Transmission Rights in both the Midwest ISO and PJM markets. Conduct analyses to provide guidance for We Energies policy, operations, and planning decisions processes related to transmission and generation expansion. Represent We Energies in NERC, FERC, Midwest ISO, and other regional transmission planning, operation, and policy stakeholder meetings.
Education and Experience Requirements: Candidates must have strong analytical skills with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Experience with power system application and market price forecasting tools (PSSE, MUST, POWERWORLD, PROMOD, etc.) is preferred. Working knowledge and understanding of regional energy markets such as the Midwest ISO and/or PJM is desired.
