Market Insights Manager
Description:
Lead development of market intelligence (pricing, channel, competition, customer, and industry), providing analysis, insights and recommendations to optimize distributor coverage, brand coverage, product pricing and competitive positioning. Leverage market insights and chemical category expertise to support strategic planning and business development with key accounts. Drive consultative partnership with key internal stakeholders to increase growth, profitability and competitive advantage.
* Develop and manage process to gather and organize market and competitive information from internal and external sources. Design analytical framework to develop understanding of industry trends, customers and prospects, competitor threats, and technology innovation and document business implications for JohnsonDiversey.
* Direct a team of analysts to gather data, analyze trends and profile competitors/ end users. Manage pricing database leading the execution of pricing excellence and benchmarking initiatives. Manage sector opportunity database for sales territory optimization and end user penetration. Manage internal newsletters for communication of insights.
* Develop comprehensive research reports and executive briefings that provide summary trends/ insights/ recommendations. Prepare market studies to support strategic planning process. Present to senior leadership committee and gain commitment for recommendations. Conduct business reviews and create action plans for business development.
* Communicate insights to sector/portfolio marketing managers, sales leaders, Americas Leadership Team, and other stakeholders to guide decision making & action planning. Facilitate appropriate discussion on trends, alternative courses of action and implications.
* Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies market research consultants and other providers of intelligence to procure information and tools for analysis.

Qualifications:
* Minimum Requirements: BS degree along with 7-10 years experience in market research, business analysis, sales/ marketing analytics, competitive intelligence, management consulting or related field. Project management experience leading cross functional teams. Prior experience in a management role with direct reports
* Preferred requirements: Prior experience in managing customer/ business development initiatives. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and process management skills. Strategic thinker with ability to interpret vast amounts of data and make insightful recommendations.
