Fiserv is a leading provider of plastic cards, mail fulfillment, electronic publications and business communications, is currently seeking to hire an experienced – Programmer Analyst I in our Programming team who can succeed in a fast paced multi-task challenging but rewarding work environment.

POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides market research and competitive intelligence that can be acted upon to assist in establishing overall corporate direction and market strategy for Fiserv Output Solutions. The candidate in this position will be the subject matter expert and thought leader within a given market vertical (Financial Services, Healthcare, Billers and Direct Marketing) with the ability to research, analyze and a develop a meaningful point of view relative to market size, trends, competition, customer needs and market opportunities to expand into new and adjacent markets or create deeper penetration within existing markets.



RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Serve as a recognized subject matter expert and thought leader on the competition, markets, and/or competitors at the deepest levels and in multiple areas
2.Leads the creation and development of the competitive research function and deliverables in multiple forms and formats to meet the needs of FOS
3.Work with the Market Segment sponsor to recommend specific action plans based on a thorough understanding of the FOS business, markets, competition and customers
4.Defines and manages research results by evaluating, analyzing and communicating complex and diverse issues where little structure exists to create an in-depth understanding of the market, competitors and/or customers to effectively drive business planning and strategic agenda
5.Capable of serving as an advisor to the field by working closely with the sales, marketing, product development focused on strategic initiatives
6.Other duties as required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or equivalent field. Masters degree preferred.

Job Related Experience: Five to eight years of directly relevant functional experience with a background in research, analysis and corporate strategy/competitive intelligence. Industry experience in Financial Services, Healthcare or Direct Marketing strategy consulting and/or document and card output helpful.

Management Experience: Ability to maintain an in-depth understanding of the organization and business and handle problems and issues that arise, and solve problems without precedents or guidelines.

Required Qualifications

•BS or BA and/or combination of skills and experience in the health insurance / financial services industry. MBA Preferred
•Demonstrated and proven ability to successfully develop and deliver documents needed throughout the customer implementation and support lifecycle with measurable business performance outcomes
•Demonstrated and proven ability to work against a plan, meet deadlines and produce deliverables
•Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal analytical, and communications skills
•Demonstrated excellence in planning, organizing and delivering
•Able to establish, manage and maintain positive working relationships with internal vendors and external clients
•Proficient with using Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio/Project
•Ability to travel as needed (less than 25%). Travel locations and frequency will vary, depending on needs
