Position Summary:
Support the Director of Sales and Marketing by providing analysis of pricing, market share, product distribution and customer sales and profitability performance. Works with sales and marketing management on development and implementation of trade programs. Develops and provides consistent analytics that focuses the organization on critical key performance indicators as it relates to trade spending and pricing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of performance reporting and analysis (cost savings, price gap, market share).
- Coordinates development and communication of trade forecast, planning cycle and processes.
- Analyze key drivers of Customer financial performance (volume, net sales, trade plan and spending, profitability).
- Support cross-functional teams to develop product innovation, line extensions and custom product development.
- Conducts financial and competitive analyses to support the development of strategies in the various market segments.
- Provides analysis to field sales organization on category selling propositions and priorities, works closely with sales on customer-driven category opportunities.
- Interacts with finance to understand financial implications of pricing and new product initiatives.
- Bachelors degree required.
- 2-3 years experience in marketing and/or related fields.
- Trade/Customer marketing/Category experience a plus.
- Solid understanding of performance reporting tools: IRI, Nielson, BI, SAP, powerpoint, excel preferred.
- Foodservice or consumer packaged goods experience required.
- Excellent data analysis skills required along with adeptness on appropriate software spreadsheet/database packages.
- Demonstrated capabilities for interfacing with and making presentations to executives and upper management.
- Ability to lead, influence, motivate and empower others.
- Strong analytical, strategy and planning skills.
- Financial acumen.
