New England College of Business (NECB) is looking for a highly qualified marketing communications manager to develop strategies that will attract, engage, nurture, retain key audiences. The successful candidate will take the lead in developing successful marketing communications strategies for the College. As a Marketing Communications Manager, you should have in-depth hands on marketing communications experience and a passion for writing. You will work closely with different teams to ensure consistency through all communication channels that are in line with brand standards. You will provide forward-thinking ideas to build and maintain a strong brand presence through internal and external communication channels. Ultimately, you will drive all marketing communication efforts to achieve our business objectives.

Program Specific Requirements (If Applicable)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build NECB’s marketing communications plans by channel and audience
  • Develop and implement specific acquisition, nurture and retention communications to create and maintain high levels of customer interaction, satisfaction and retention
  • Working with the Director of Digital Marketing; manage all communications and reporting of all NECB social media accounts
  • Working with Admission, Advising, B2B and other cross functional teams to test, measure and optimize effectiveness of messaging throughout the prospect to ambassador life cycle
  • Develop schedules/editorial calendars of all communications activities (dates, lists, content, CTA, goals) to keep colleagues informed and prepared for response
  • Develop, analyze, and report on all marcom results weekly, monthly, by term and annually
  • Perform other duties as needed

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Must have superior writing and communication skills
  • Proven work experience as a marketing communications manager, social media marketing manager or related position preferably in higher education
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing successful internal and external marketing communications
  • Solid knowledge of marketing communications tools (social, email, text, marketing automation, CRM)
  • Excellent analytical skills; Proven experience in a highly metric and fast paced environment
  • Results-oriented and accountable
  • BS in Marketing, Communications, English, Creative Writing, Journalism or relevant field. MBA, or Master’s in Business preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business/strategic plans
  • Excellent analysis, financial planning and business management skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and competitive analysis
  • Strong experience with market research, development (with vendors), analysis and decision-making based upon the results
  • Strong marketing and advertising experience building brands through a variety of marketing tools; strong understanding of branding
