Marketing Communications Manager

About the Job







Principal Objective


Reporting to the Director of Marketing this position is responsible for the development, implementation and budgeting of marketing communications (e.g. advertising, direct, online, and collateral) and public relations for the banks retail and commercial products and services.


 


 









Principal Duties and Responsibilities



  1. Working with product management, leads development of all marketing and PR communications required for bank’s product/service set. Including product brochures, branch collateral and electronic media.

  2. Create press releases, collateral material, statement messages, internal and external letters, ad copy and any other general copy writing.

  3. Manages the Bank’s website insuring content and feature functionality are current, accurate and compelling.

  4. Working with the Director of Marketing and outside agencies, develop and execute Marketing, Public Relations and Investor Relations communications.

  5. Works with agencies and other relevant parties in their preparation of marketing and PR materials.

  6. Communicate marketing and PR activities to relevant sales forces and executive management.

  7. Assist in the development and execution of annual marketing and PR calendar.

  8. Maintain detailed record of marketing communications and PR development activities, including all legal and Compliance approvals.

  9. Manage assigned marketing and PR budgets.

  10. Other marketing/public relations’ tasks that may be required.

 


 









Job Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required)



  1. College degree and/or Marketing coursework.

  2. 5 years+ bank marketing communications experience.

  3. Proven strong oral and written communications skills.

  4. Proven project management and organizational skills.

  5. Experience with photography and basic graphic design is a plus.

  6. High energy, agile thinking, multi-tasker.  Can manage multiple projects simultaneously and can change direction quickly.

  7. Desire and ability to play a key role in building a proactive, best-in-class marketing culture.

  8. Previous marketing experience within the banking industry is highly preferred.
