Marketing Communications Manager (Medicare)
Location: Any US; Thousand Oaks, CA strongly preferred
Responsible for developing and managing multi-channel member communications for our Medicare program. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Develops member communications strategies, writes engaging and behaviorally motivating content, and manages communications and materials end-to-end.
  • manages marketing communications and marketing material production.
  • Defines and establishes appropriate communication strategies and timelines to support corporate and operational initiatives.
  • Develops materials, and develops communications.
  • Creates and maintains departmental communication projects and materials, and assists in production and distribution.
  • Explores and implements additional ways to promote additional programs.
  • May manage the account web site, training and communications to the account and the operations and implementation team.
Requires a BA/BS degree; 5 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Prior experience in communications and marketing in a health care environment preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have a blend of strong creative writing talent, project management skills, basic data management (able to build complex material grids), and good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organized and efficient, be able to quickly acquire and leverage research, product benefit and clinical program knowledge, and be experienced in creating effective, member-focused campaigns.
  • Experience with senior audiences and/or health care are each a plus.
  • Marketing/Ad agency experience helpful.
