The Marketing Communications Writer elevates company and brand awareness, increases product and service sales, and reinforces the company’s image by developing effective marketing and public relations materials. Approximately 85-90% of this position involves promotional, editorial and public relations writing in an office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø  Writing inbound marketing offers such as white papers, testimonials, case studies, checklists and executive overviews including research, interviewing, content organization and editing

Ø  Writing and maintaining corporate website content including search engine optimization program and corporate blog

Ø  Writing and formatting sales collateral and sales support materials and correspondence

Ø  Writing and formatting promotional email blasts, email invitations, email surveys and           e-newsletters

Ø  Writing copy for trade publication advertisements

Ø  Writing  by-lined articles for trade publications

Ø  Writing and formatting promotional materials for annual user conference and assisting in event planning and set-up duties

Ø  Writing press releases and other corporate communications and overseeing public relations program

Ø  Monitoring success of all marketing content and revising materials as needed to further their success

Ø  Proactively identifying new opportunities for content creation

Skill/Knowledge Requirements

Ø  Strong business-to-business writing background (portfolio required)

Ø  Strong editing skills

Ø  Experience with in-bound marketing

Ø  Experience in website content management

Ø  Experience with social media marketing

Ø  Experience taking technical information and translating it into beneficial business information

Ø  Exposure to in-bound/marketing automation software, Vertical Response or similar email marketing software, Adobe InDesign or similar graphic design software, WebEx or web conferencing applications, and RegOnline or automated event registration applications

Ø  Ability to read, analyze and interpret industry literature and journals

Ø  Ability to effectively communicate with others (verbal and written communications)

Ø  Ability to effectively work on multiple tasks simultaneously

Ø  Ability to work well under pressure

Ø  Ability to organize and manage time and projects effectively

Ø  Ability to work with/collaborate with senior management and sales/account management team members on marketing activities in a consultative manner

Ø  High level of creativity

Ø  Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or Marketing (or related field) from a four-year college or university plus minimum of five years of marketing writing experience

Ø  Banking/credit union/financial services industry or technology knowledge strongly favored
