Adolfson & Peterson Construction, 2008-09 AIA Arizona Contractor of the Year and voted in the top five Best Places to Work by the Phoenix Business Journal for the last four years, is seeking a qualified marketing professional to be a park of our dynamic Arizona team. This position will be responsible for supporting the regional marketing efforts of the firm, including taking responsibility for the proposal process from start to finish. This position will interact routinely with project managers, preconstruction personnel, business development, and regional management and have the opportunity to become an integral part of the strategic, client-focused decisions.
 
Required Software Knowledge:
-          Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-          Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign a must / Illustrator a plus)
 
Responsibilities / Day-to-Day Duties:
Primary Marketing Responsibilities
- Create winning proposals:
·         Work with regional management, business development, superintendents and project managers to identify key points for competitive positioning in proposals.
·         Write, edit and produce comprehensible, organized, succinct and persuasive proposals that are compliant with the RFQ/RFP.
·         Develop boilerplate text and write original content for proposals.
·         Develop and maintain project information, experience lists, employee resumes and identify best suited qualifications for use in submittals.
·         Coordinate the efforts of multiple proposal team members across internal departments to ensure complete responses.
·         Design layouts of proposals and generate graphics that enhance proposals.
·         Responsible for printing, binding and assembly of proposals.
- Coordinate interview efforts:
·         Develop compelling interview materials
·         Provide overall coordination of interview teams (attending strategy/practice meetings, etc.)
- Participate in strategic client/market planning (including conducting research)
 
Secondary Marketing Responsibilities
-          Support internal marketing efforts through facilitation of employee events
-          Create award submittals
-          Create concept for and produce collateral materials
-          Maintain inventory of marketing materials/supplies
-          Assist in placement/creation of advertising
-          Maintenance of Deltek / CRM database


Required Software Knowledge:

Requirements:
-          Excellent written and oral communication skills
-          Self-starter with the ability to work independently with or without direction, and prioritize tasks meeting stringent deadlines
-          Ability to think critically and draw from several resources (and interact with all levels of staff) to create simple, unified, persuasive documents
-          Detail-oriented with demonstrated excellent organizational skills
-          Positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to operate in a constantly changing environment
 
Education/Experience:
-          Undergraduate degree in business/marketing, journalism/communications or closely related field
-          Minimum of one year of experience writing proposals for an A/E/C firm
-          One to two years of event planning experience a plus
