Marketing Coordinator
Neighbors Credit Union, a full service financial institution, is seeking a full time Marketing Coordinator at our St. Louis South County location.
This position will entail assisting the VP of Marketing in accomplishing the overall credit union goals by coordinating various marketing, public relations and operational tasks.
The ideal candidate must have working experience with the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the Internet, as well as other general office equipment. Must also possess mathematical skills, which will enable them to assess statistical data for monitoring new programs. Marketing degree not necessary, but preferred.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Clubs – Responsible for coordinating various club events from creation to implementation in a timely manner. Events need to be researched and planned in advance to allow ample time to promote in newsletters, email alerts and other areas. Write copy for newsletters for the three clubs: MainStreet (senior club), My.Bux (teen club) and Camp Cash (kids club). Effectively manage and order the club inventory. Obtain and distribute gift certificates, coins and other materials to branches. Organize annual Youth Week. Organize annual scholarship contest. Organize Main Street club annual trip give-away. Responsible for informing staff and getting them engaged in all club events. Write and send press releases for activities as needed.
2. Seminar Coordination – Coordinate credit union seminars from creation to implementation in a timely manner. Research and plan event location and speaker. Organize all aspects in preparation for seminar. Coordinate invite letter for attendees. Create presentation if needed. Aid speakers, inform and engage staff, and control the list of attendees. Print seminar sign up forms and distribute them to branches. Research materials, make packets and set up/implement them. Write and send press releases. Update Insider (intra).
3. Community Event Coordination – Organize various community events. Work with branches and the event host/company. Control the list of workers. Set up and implement the events. Manage workers to maintain a professional atmosphere to consistently illustrate our brand. Write and send press releases for activities. Update Insider (intranet).
4. Letter Production – Responsible for execution of monthly letters. Mail merge letters and print them. Finalize them by folding, stuffing and sealing letters.
5. Branch Coordination – Manage supply inventories. Coordinate monthly posters and any branch promotions. Aid the branches when doing a school presentation or attending a chamber event when needed.
6. In House Ads – Create in house ads such as sale ads for member ad boards, 8.5” x 11” small promotional posters or other items when done in house.
7. Other duties as assigned – Take photos of new employees and send welcome email. Complete Dora Maxwell and Louise Herring award entries. Respectfully help staff and members. Assists the Marketing Department when or where needed to support promotions, events and the department (and credit union) in general.
Expectations:
1.To ensure that the credit union’s internal and external service standards are met on a consistent basis.
2.To meet necessary deadlines on reports and other various projects.
3.To maintain current knowledge of advertising compliance, both legal and regulatory.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors in Marketing or Communications from an accredited college or university. Or a minimum of three years experience in marketing or member/customer service at a financial institution.
Skills:
Individual must exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must present a professional appearance and manner. Must possess a positive attitude and be highly personable. Must be able to work successfully independently and in a team environment. Must have strong organizational and planning skills. Must be creative and detail oriented. Must be able to manage priorities and balance diverse projects.
Must possess the necessary skills for the effective use of PC software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and the Internet, as well as other general office equipment. Design skills a plus. Must possess mathematical skills to assess statistical data for monitoring new programs.
Physical Requirements:
Individual must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as some walking. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds with reasonable accommodation. Must be able to operate a computer keyboard for long periods of time, in addition to other office equipment. Must have the ability to travel, work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as needed. Must be able to see clearly with reasonable accommodation. Must have the ability to drive, and may be requested to travel at times.
