Marketing Database Analyst or Manager
Duties
o Primary responsibility is to: 1) provide ad hoc analytical support to efforts to optimize user interaction and financial return from internet website, and 2) develop and automate client reporting.
o Includes completion of financial, operational, and marketing analysis to discover answers to business questions
1. Meet with marketing, project management and product management staff, at all levels, to understand goals and data sources
2. Identify appropriate data to investigate
3. Develop analyses to provide operational and strategic information
4. Validate quality of data in analysis
5. Present findings with action items
o Includes development and automation of monthly client reports that can not be supported through standard processes
1. Support pre-sales with reporting capabilities support
2. Develop and run Oracle-based standard client reports
o Types of analysis will include spreadsheet, database and web analytics
1. Work with web analytics package to monitor performance of web sites (e.g. Omniture Site Catalyst)
2. Consolidate operational, performance and marketing information into summary excel spreadsheets for presentation to management
3. Conduct database analysis (writing and running queries against multiple databases in various environments) (e.g. Oracle, SQL, Access)

o 3-4 years experience in financial or marketing analysis
o Strong database analysis experience
o Excel and database analysis skills (e.g. Access, SQL, Oracle)
o Comfortable with Powerpoint and making presentations to large and small groups in planned and ad hoc environments
o Ability to explain complex quantitative analyses to senior management
o Excellent organization and documentation skills
o Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
o Strong ability to be responsible, accountable and result-driven
