Marketing Director, Institutional Foodservice

The members of our marketing team have an opportunity to help our customers meet their goals, differentiate Ecolab from our competition, and impact the achievement of our aggressive growth targets. The Marketing Director position is a high profile role within a dynamic organization that will have responsibility for leading and managing an existing $200M product line/business unit within the Foodservice Kitchen Specialty, Handcare and FOH segment, encompassing products/consumables, dispensing equipment and services for the cleaning and sanitization of restaurants and their kitchens. This leader will help direct overall strategy of the business unit.
Main Responsibilities:
- Establish short and long-term strategic plans and programs for marketing products/services, resulting in optimum growth, sales and profits
- Provide leadership to teams tasked with innovating and developing new product offerings above and beyond existing products and services for existing or future markets of the business unit
- Develop innovative strategy in response to customer needs and changes in market and business function
- Meet or exceed growth targets by finding new ways of doing business
- Identify customer needs that Ecolab can meet
- Develop and deliver executive summaries and presentations to sell Ecolab solutions that meet those needs
- Demonstrate and communicate the proven financial value of products/programs to customers
- Develop and review segment Business Plans and provide actionable feedback and input
- Participate in ongoing customer interactions that contribute to business insights and results, and train team on Voice of the Customer techniques and toolbox
- Drive new product and solution innovation and ensure key innovation metrics are being achieved
- Ensure the sales force is provided with leadership and effective marketing support, including sales tools, training, program tracking and problem solving capabilities
- Manage employees, including setting objectives and development plans, salary planning, training, annual performance appraisals, hiring, and performance coaching to ensure the attainment of operating objectives
- Create a marketing structure that supports current and future growth objectives
- Develop and nurture quality partnerships between and across all Ecolab divisions, and utilize those relationships to obtain new business, exchange leads, coordinate sales to national accounts and solve problems
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years marketing experience
Preferred Qualifications: - MBA
- Business-to-business marketing experience
- Experience in developing marketing strategy and building a strong marketing team
- Ability to relate to influential people and complex organizational structures
- Ability to develop and implement a national marketing program
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Experience in developing new products/services
- Experience managing and developing direct reports
