MARKETING DIRECTOR


We are seeking a Marketing Director for a fast-growing and innovative audiobook publisher of adult, children’s and foreign language-learning titles. Develop and execute marketing strategies for 100+ titles per year for retail, wholesale, library and digital markets.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing strategies for 100+ titles per year
  • Collaborate with marketing and advertising departments at print publishers to design co-promotion campaigns
  • Work with sales reps on all coop and in-store promotional opportunities
  • Provide sales and returns analysis for current and backlist titles
  • Key Liaison with distribution client
  • Consult with publisher and editorial director on acquisitions

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Sales analysis
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and other business database programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Broad network of publishing industry contacts

Experience Needed:

  • 5 years+ senior level sales and/or marketing experience within book publishing

Educational Background Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
