Job Posting: Marketing Director
Job Description: The successful candidate must be a self-starter, have demonstrated an ability to take on multiple projects, and be equally comfortable working independently and in a team environment. While initially being task oriented, the Marketing Director will be required to understand BillingTree’s core business and be able to see the “big picture”. Growth in current markets and ability to connect with new and emerging Markets in various verticals is instrumental to success of this role.
This is truly an opportunity for you to be exposed to the full gamut of marketing and communications projects including but certainly not limited to: Development of Advertising Materials, Development of Sales Collateral (with an emphasis on various verticals for approximately 30 tradeshow events/year), Database Marketing and Drip Marketing Campaigns, Website Management.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Directly supervises 1 or more employees in the Marketing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
· Implementation and tracking of Marketing support programs for Sales, New Business Development and Product Development teams; and Organization as a whole to efficiently and effectively drive awareness and build brand loyalty
· Ownership of the proactive targeting, planning and execution of all marketing campaign elements. Coordination with internal teams and senior management to strategically target all campaign elements and support programs and maximize impact/return on investment
· Alignment of resources against financial goals and constraints for Sales & Marketing Budget. Accountable for budget management for vendor relationships, agency relationships, performance metrics, etc.
· Manage integrated Member Marketing across all channels (direct mail, email, website, emerging platforms, blogs, social networking, etc). Drive the development and execution of member marketing programs.
· Develop and manage a social networking program to create an online community around BillingTree’s clients, partners, employees, prospects and the payments industry
· Develop integrated marketing programs & marketing campaigns across lines of business, marketing channels, and customer segments
· Target marketing campaigns for Revenue Management, Merchandising, eCommerce, and corporate communications. Coordinate campaign execution across lines of business, channels & customer segments
· Manage the successful planning, development, execution of all member marketing initiatives-
· Manage and continuously improve the marketing prioritization process to ensure optimal investment of marketing resources and effective communications with all business parties
· Lead Web Strategy - Establish the strategy, evolution and roadmap for the member facing design, look, and feel the website. Establish and resource needs to maintain website content, look and feel.
· Develop key supporting branding material; develop implementation plan and initiate rollout of brand evolution.
Skills and attributes sought:
- Payment Industry Background (MOTO) preferred
- Marketing background and practical experience
- Tradeshow, Event Planning and Management, experience ideal
- PR experience ideal but not critical
- Strong leadership skills including communication, business acumen.
- Excellent communicator, both internally and externally; written and verbal
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail; a proven multi-tasker
- Familiarity with and ability to manage the creative process – including vendor management - associated with developing Marketing programs
- Management of a CRM database
- Developing and maintaining a Social Network
Education:
- College Degree required, concentration in Marketing/Communications or Business preferred
Experience:
- 7+ years of relationship marketing with a minimum of 2 years general marketing experience
- Experience within the electronic payment industry, preferred
- 5 years experience in integrated marketing (such as Direct Marketing, Web, Digital Marketing & General Advertising)
- Search engine marketing experience (SEO, PPC), including usage of web analytics tool(s); Google certification preferred
- Experience with CRM; Salesforce preferred
- Experience with Marketo a plus
- Design experience/portfolio required; Advanced level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
- Experience with Corporate Level Social Networking
