About the Opportunity 

The Marketing Manager - Association is responsbile for planning, organizing and promoting all marketing activities for specific accounts assigned.  This includes conceptual stages through product and service lfe cycles to optmize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.  It includes event marketing activities as well.

Some specific responsibilities include:

  • Participates in overall strategy including pricing, market analysis and research.
  • Provides expertise and training to other departments in support of product and service development.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas to develop and provide strategies that are responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Provides marketing expertise to increase the number of new members and to decrease the number of individuals who do not renew their membership
  • Provides strategy and implementation to increase advertising revenue.
  • Produces and analyzes reports from marketing lead and membership databases and presents findings.
  • Participates in competitive market research to gather, compare and analyze competitor data and pricing.
  • Develops and manages corporate social networking strategy and website.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

Skills Required
To meet the demands of this key position, the Marketing Manager -Association needs to possess the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 to 7 years directly related experience including non-profit/association experience.
  • College degree (Bachelors), preferably in Marketing.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet)
  • Proficient in design software such as Quark and Photoshop
  • High-level business knowledge including all aspects of product and project management, pricing, packaging and promotion principles.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, priorities and projects.
  • Ability to travel - 35% to 60% travel required.
