Marketing Manager, North America – CoPilot Live

ALK Technologies Inc. is the developer of the award-winning CoPilot Live GPS Navigation (www.copilotlive.com) software application which provides full voice-guided, turn-by-turn GPS navigation on a range of the latest Smartphones and mobile devices.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and confident marketing professional to join a leading developer of mobile software apps. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the promotion and brand development of CoPilot navigation in North America, working closely with the company’s mobile operator and cell phone manufacturer partners.

Based at ALK’s Worldwide HQ in Princeton, New Jersey, the Marketing Manger will report to the Marketing Director, based in London, UK.   We are only considering LOCAL CANDIDTATES at this time. 

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver the CoPilot marketing plan in North America, including:

·         Creation of local marketing materials and sales tools, including brochures, datasheets, white papers, customer facing presentations and competitive differentiation documents.

·         Deliver effective online marketing programmes using the CoPilot website, blog, Twitter and social networking sites, to drive sales of CoPilot through the app stores (including iPhone app store and Android Market) and the company’s online store.

·         Responsibility for coordinating the company’s presence at tradeshows and events in North America

·         Coordinate and manage product launches, working with the global marketing, media relations and product management teams to produce effective collateral, packaging, product documentation and a program of launch activity

·         Support the Business Development team with customer presentations, sales training and competitive positioning analysis

·         Develop and deliver partner marketing support programs, packaging and other materials, working closely with partners to help them effectively promote CoPilot Live navigation within their solutions

·         Manage existing customer communications, including upgrade campaigns and retention schemes through newsletters and other means

·         Maintain and develop content on the CoPilot North America web site

·         Provide market intelligence to the product management teams to facilitate new product development

Experience and qualifications

·         BS/BA Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent

·         3+ years marketing experience, with a proven ability to deliver successful marketing programs

·         An understanding of the promotional opportunities available through social networking, blog and web 2.0 media

·         An understanding of - and an interest in - mobile technology, including the commercial and promotional opportunities offered through mobile app stores

·         Effective communicator, both verbally and written, with strong copywriting skills

·         Excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills

·         Ability to manage several projects concurrently with a minimum of daily supervision

·         Professional and credible manner, able to develop relationships at all levels within the companies’ mobile operator, handset and channel partners

·         A successful record of effective marketing in a mobile technology or mobile applications environment is preferred but not essential
