In this role, you'll create and implement effective competitive and retention strategies based on competitive analysis. You'll design programs to differentiate Comcast from satellite providers (video), phone companies (DSL and phone), and over-builders for the Twin Cities Region including operations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kansas and Missouri. Develop and recommend marketing and sales strategies and tactics to address competition and to retain market share of Comcast's products - Video, Internet, and Voice. Compile and present detailed competitive information and customer data to identify points of competitive advantage that will lead to faster growth and slower churn. Interact extensively with our retention call center team to improve customer care and retention success metrics. Leverage relationships with programmers and other marketing partners to achieve objectives. Develop retention strategies and work with marketing analyst(s) to ensure development and utilization of product and bundle retention tracking.

Major Duties:
Develop and administer local sales / marketing plans to combat competition and reduce churn. Create promotional strategies to differentiate Comcast and grow market share in competitive areas. Manage and maintain competitive intelligence database and resources. Manage customer loyalty programs. Train staff on competitive impacts and retention opportunities on a regular basis. Identify and propose plans for new business opportunities. Create the competitive analysis that effective strategies are built on. Track, report and analyze competitor activity, offers, products, strategies and impact on Comcast. Forecast future competitive activity and impact. Recommend and execute product, promotional, price and sales strategies to address retention and compeititive threats and opportunities. Coordinate cross functional efforts with finance, care, tech ops, engineering, sales, public relations and government affairs. Inform senior leadership with regular reports. Participate in division and corporate calls and projects as necessary. Build a competitively focused culture.


Required Skills:
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration.
• 4 - 6 years marketing experience preferably in cable, telecom, satellite industries
• Expertise in retention marketing, competitive analysis, strategy design and implementation
• Proven interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills
