Marketing Manager
airPointe is a company seeking to bring a brand new set of technologies to market. The company has developed a system which incorporates new hardware and software to completely automate the efficiency process within any healthcare facility. The technologies developed by airPointe are new and are therefore exciting breakthrough products. We are seeking a take charge marketing executive who can help us penetrate these new market potentials.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities will include direct accountability for development and execution of appropriate scientific strategies, existing and new products as well as identification of new opportunities. This position will serve as a primary technical interface to customers and speak as required on behalf of the company.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Support development and implementation of regional marketing plan to achieve annual plan objectives. This includes estimating market potentials, managing market segments with promising growth opportunities, assessing market needs and providing direction for product and service development to meet customer needs.
Market products and deliver key messages to the customer
Lead technical communications
Responsible for staying abreast of industry developments/trends including associated scientific and technical developments that are deemed critical to growth
Coordinate and collaborate with account executives on key opportunities and ensure efforts are executed in accordance with defined strategies
Present at and attend selected conferences. Prepare and circulate for approval appropriate and relevant scientific publications and white papers
Establish and coordinate key collaborations with academia and/or companies to facilitate joint development activities
Monitor competitive activities and identify opportunities to strengthen existing strategies
Collect and synthesize relevant market information and provide strategic direction, analytical support and information with regard to customer needs and market trends to guide development activities. This includes providing market assessments, preparing financial projections and providing direction for all phases of product development programs
Participate in project teams for all products
Support of field sales team's activities, provide technical and scientific support and expertise
Education:
Degree in engineering, pharmacy, chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or medicine. Diverse backgrounds are encouraged
Experience:
Minimum five years experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical, or related industries
Knowledge and Skills:
A successful candidate may have sales or marketing experience in medical devices
Demonstrated leadership skills and superior verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to liaise with numerous functions on management level (internal and external), e.g. general management, R&D, manufacturing, packaging, purchasing, QA/QC, marketing,
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Experience in customer interactions and direct experience in presenting technical ideas to cross-functional audiences with interaction skills that provide answers to the audience and diplomatically inserts their expertise
Outstanding presentation, selling, and negotiation skills
Biotech industry experience a plus
