Marketing Manager - Medical Capital Equipment
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and
maintaining on-going marketing strategies and product marketing plans to meet
organizational objectives. He/she will conduct and evaluate customer research,
market conditions, competitor data and will implement marketing plan changes,
as required.
The individual in this role will utilize their broad-based
marketing background, including product and market strategy, internet marketing,
distribution, communications and promotion, to effectively manage all aspects
of the company’s product portfolio.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in
Marketing or other relevant discipline, 3+ years of medical product marketing,
demonstrated ability to work within and lead effective cross-functional teams,
an attitude of ownership and accountability, and a proven track record of
success.
Essential Job
Functions:
·
Responsible for the marketing of all of MPI
products.
·
Develops and implements marketing plans and
programs from concept to completion, using metrics to drive success and
continuous improvement.
·
Demonstrates technical marketing skills and
product knowledge of MPI product line.
·
Develops, implements and measures annual
marketing plan in conjunction with sales department, which details activities
to follow during the fiscal year and is focused on meeting organizational
objectives.
·
Manages the Marketing department budget and delivery
of all marketing activity within agreed budget.
·
Achieves frequent, timely and positive
media/industry coverage for MPI and its products across all available media.
·
Participates as a member of cross functional
product development team.
·
Manages marketing aspects of product line life
cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
·
Specifies market requirements for current and
future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to
customers and non-customers.
·
Develops and implements a company-wide
go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
·
Analyzes potential partner relationships for MPI
product lines.
·
Identifies, plans and executes upon appropriate
industry Trade Show strategy.
·
Creates & manages company newsletter
distribution, email marketing and direct mail campaigns, as well as social
media strategies.
·
Manages sales and marketing component of new
product launches.
·
Conducts market research including maintaining a
competitive landscape analysis.
·
Oversees web development strategies to
compliment MPI objectives.
·
Establishes and manages the company’s global
market strategies and plans, provides marketing direction to field sales and
other strategic channels (e.g. distribution channels), including execution of
product commercialization plans.
·
Defines and implements clear product positioning
and messaging for product portfolio; develops and implements product marketing,
training and educational tools.
·
Keeps up-to-date on new developments and trends
to understand customer and market needs.
Minimum
Qualifications:
·
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree
required and 3-5 years of successful marketing experience, preferably medical product
related.
·
Demonstrated success working as an integral
cross-functional team member, with ability to effectively utilize internal resources.
·
Comprehensive understanding of the marketing and
product planning process.
·
Strong strategic and implementation experience
in marketing across various outlets including web-based, traditional,
multi-media, etc.
·
Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills, including the ability to listen and assess customer needs, prioritize
needs/requirements,
and communicate them cross-functionally.
·
Excellent leadership, presentation, and
negotiation skills to work effectively in driving product line sales growth.
·
Demonstrated ability to work with teams such as
Engineering, Operations, and Sales.
·
Strong relationship building skills.
·
High level of motivation with the ability to
operate as an individual and team contributor.
·
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
·
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred
Qualifications:
·
MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
·
Experience with internet marketing and/or medical
device marketing.
·
Clinical aptitude in the areas of cardiology
and/or radiology.
·
Technical aptitude and/or prior experience
working with technical products.
