BIOTRONIK, Inc. is building a world-class marketing team and has an exciting opportunity available for a Marketing Operations Manager in Portland, Oregon.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Operations Manager builds the bridge between sales and marketing to ensure that marketing plans are actionable and well received by our most important communications channel. He or she owns the annual strategic planning process and is responsible for initiating continuous process improvements in this area along with bringing individual therapy-specific plans together into a comprehensive BIOTRONIK marketing plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the execution of the annual strategic marketing planning process. Responsible for process training, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leads the integration of individual annual therapy-specific marketing plans into a comprehensive BIOTRONIK marketing plan for the coming year.
- Owns the Sales and Marketing Plan of Action (POA) process. Builds consensus for the process, engages key stakeholders, and coordinates with the Product Management team to implement marketing plans.
- Serves as the corporate “brand manager”, improving customer awareness of BIOTRONIK and building employee engagement around our mission and values.
- Independently sets goals and prioritizes workload in support of department and corporate objectives. Indentifies, initiates, and champions change and process improvements, both internal and external to the marketing department.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of BIOTRONIK products and services, assesses competitive strengths and weaknesses, and makes recommendations on how to leverage this understanding.
- Builds consensus by seeking input from key internal and external stakeholders in an effort to strengthen plans or uncover challenges to implementation – can appreciate and adapt to different points of view. Establishes and maintains strong cross-functional working relationships.
- Understands the key influences in the Cardiac Rhythm Management industry (i.e. physicians, hospitals, contracts, reimbursement, public policy, etc.) and has a working knowledge of the sales environment and relevant marketing channels.
- Interacts regularly with physician customers during corporate meetings and in the field with sales representatives to ensure a first hand understanding of customer behaviors and of the selling environment.
- Builds and maintains a network of sales reps that can be called on for input and insight. Responsible for maintaining a Sales Advisory Council of key sales representatives.
- When possible, accommodates for limited corporate resources by presenting multiple options, along with pros and cons, when making strategic and tactical recommendations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
- 2-5 years of operational marketing experience required. Experience in the Cardiac Rhythm Management industry preferred.
- Proficient in implementing marketing strategies in challenging environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a multi-disciplinary working environment along with the ability to build consensus and implement change.
- Proven initiative and the ability to define own workload and goals.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills along with the ability to work with all levels of the company.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel up to 25%.
