Marketing Segment Manager

About the Job

Position Purpose:
To help reach the corporate sales and revenue objectives (WIGs) through the development of short-term and long-term marketing strategies, initiatives and programs.  
The Marketing Segment Manager will work closely with the sales and business unit leaders to define and prioritize customer segmentation. The Marketing Segment Manager will be responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing plan in line with commercial objectives and prioritization. The Marketing Segment Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering sales tools to help the business units in achieving their commercial objectives and implementing their sales plans.
The Marketing Segment Manager will collaborate and work closely with Sales, Product Management and Marketing Research in order to develop and maintain the customer value proposition, as well as assure awareness of customer requirements, needs, product offer, market conditions, competitive offers, new entrants, etc.  
The Marketing Segment Manager is also accountable for maintaining proactive and productive communication links with the global marketing organization to assure that North America programs encompass the global positioning and strategic directions. 
Responsibilities:
Development and delivery of  marketing strategies, plans and initiatives targeted to meet the commercial objectives of the  North American ACO (WIGs)
Development and maintenance of the value propositions for the allocated customer segment(s). Serve as the subject matter expert for the NA travel agency market. Compile market trends, customer requirements and dominant business needs, identify Amadeus strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.  Identify internal and external communication activities in line with brand communications.
Development and delivery of sales tools to help the business units accomplish their commercial objectives and implement their sales plans.
Communicate strategy and plans with internal departments (both in North American and Global).  Develop strong working relationships with other marketing groups, marketing communications and services group, sales, product management, public relations, technology, finance and other key internal & external stakeholders through regular formal communication and through informal communication as needed
Requirements:
7-10 years of sales and marketing experience with a background in the technology industry (travel industry experience is preferred). 
Solid understanding of business-to-business marketing principles, business models, and technology
Professional experience working with technology development and product management
Professional experience in developing marketing strategies and marketing plans
Strong analytic and strategic skills to assist in the development of value propositions and customer segmentation strategies
Ability to operate within various departments in both the North American and Global organization with little direct supervision.
Ability to develop proactive marketing initiatives, to set vision and communicate this vision to both internal audiences and external audiences (including sales teams, media and analysts)
Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
Solid foundation in financial principles, budgeting, and expense management.
Ability to handle and coordinate multiple projects while maintaining focus and vision. 
Ability to work and thrive under rapidly changing environments
Education:
BA/BS
MBA or applicable Master’s degree preferred.
Other Considerations:
Position located in Miami, Florida.
25% travel, both domestic and international.
Flexibility and adaptability required.
