Coordinate and manage all EMD Cosmetic Actives and Bio Actives sales collateral including coordination of drafting global brochures with MDA and EMD colleagues, conversion of product technical presentations to short sales presentations, coordination of drafting EMDized sales collateral with EMD colleagues (where global pieces are not possible), coordinate creation of trade show promotional posters and technical poster presentations. Plan and coordinate direct promotional activities as available within the CRM system and via third party web-based tools like "Chemidex" and "Cosmetic design" with marketing Cosmetic Actives Manage and track promotional expenses associated and Bio Actives products Coordinate preparation of an EMD Cosmetic Actives and Bioactives annual marketing plan aligned with Merck global marketing plan Coordinate and participate in lab scale preparation and filling of finished product samples and samples of ingredients for use at trade shows and in support of product marketing initiatives. BSc in Chemistry, Biology or Marketing 3 to 5 years in a laboratory position with a cosmetic customer or ingredient supplier or with some experience in a direct customer facing role with a cosmetic ingredient supplier. Excellent oral and written communications skills, proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, Experience with CRM systems, knowledge of the cosmetic industry and cosmetic formulating, a self-starter with strong entrapneurial skills. Must have hands on laboratory experience.
Design, schedule and execute product training for distributors and distributor sales forces to include training via joint customer calls, webinars and on-site training
Design, manage and maintain excel data in CRM and in off-line excel data bases to track customers activities with new product introductions both by obtaining customer feedback directly or coordinating customer feed back through Account Managers
Present technical product training including applications training and explaining efficacy test data at direct B-customers in coordination with Account managers
Participate in customer specific "mini-trade show" events, technical poster presentations at conferences and industry trade shows as requested to assist in explaining products, answering applications questions and explaining details of available efficacy data.
Participate as a podium presenter at industry conferences focused on the needs and interests of cosmetic chemists and customer's marketing organizations.
