Publishers Communication Group is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced international marketing professional to be the Marketing Specialist for a scientific database and our publishing consulting services.  

 

About Us

We are a marketing consulting group for scholarly publishers based in Cambridge, MA.

 

Summary of Position:

You will be based in the Cambridge, MA office of PCG and will be responsible for all aspects of global marketing to academic, government and corporate institutional prospects, customers and their end users including:

 

  • Generating and implementing marketing plans for the database and PCG

·         Increasing  prospect and customer engagement using your experience with email and internet marketing

  • Working with sales teams to create and develop target lists for promotion of content and services
  • Writing, planning and producing print collateral, pieces for online use and email distribution marketing campaigns to generate interest in existing offers
  • Conducting competitor analyses
  • Providing user education plan including webinars and pre-recorded presentations
  • Using mailing lists and listservs for direct mail promotion to individuals and libraries
  • Providing monthly reports to the database publisher and PCG management on marketing activities

 

Qualifications/Experience:

·         BA/BS or equivalent

·         2 to 5 years previous experience in international marketing of online tools/content or scientific resources

·         High energy, self-motivated individual who is entrepreneurial, can multi-task and is willing to work as necessary to meet deadlines

·         Strong written and oral communication skills

·         Demonstrated project management and social media skills

·         Experience in the publishing industry is a plus
