Marketing Specialist

Under the direction of the Marketing Director, this position will be responsible for the planning and tactical operations to market Project Tapestry, with the goal to maximize awareness and drive sales aligned with strategic goals within Pearson.

Essential Job Functions:
' Responsible for planning, project management, development, and execution of marketing campaigns for Project Tapestry. Tactical components including but not limited to: coordination and execution of customer communications (HTML Email, Direct Mail) and webinars, regional user groups, executive forums & briefings, customer presentations, case studies, web presence, and advertising.
' Support sales efforts related to Project Tapestry within assigned segment & campaigns
' Understand and execute upon processes that will lead to operational excellence
' Create and maintain metrics to gauge level of success of campaigns
' Coordinate campaign lead opportunities with sales and CRM/Database team.
' Maintenance of high-quality product content including core brochures, flyers and presentations to be used as sales tools for a variety of audiences.
' Be an expert and ambassador for Project Tapestry, including acting as the marketing liaison to the Product Management and development teams.
' Participate in national and/or regional conventions/exhibits and field sales presentations.

Requirements:
' Minimum 2-3 years experience working in project management, marketing or a communication related field
' Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience in advertising, communication or marketing required
' Experience with e-marketing preferred
' Experience in design preferred
' Excellent communication skills
' Experience in editing and copywriting technical and marketing documents
' Strong organizational skills required. Attention to detail a must.
' Project management skills required. Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines is crucial.
' Demonstrated end to end project execution history required.
' Advanced knowledge of core MS Office products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook. Database experience such as MS Project and/or Access preferred
' Salesforce.com experience preferred
' Ability to effectively collaborate with a field based sales team, cross functional team members and external customers a must.
' A high degree of flexibility with the ability and inclination to react quickly to changing needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
' Demonstrated track record of handling multiple projects simultaneously while paying strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills
' Creative, resourceful thinker with a "can do" attitude
' This position may require up to 30% business travel
