Marketing Specialist
About the Job
The Commercial Specialty segment of Argo Group provides standard market insurance to commercial entities facing a wide variety of property and casualty risks. With deep understanding of the specialized businesses of their clients, Argo Group professionals actively help control loss, reduce claims and lessen the impacts of injury in the workplace.
The Marketing Specialist identifies, recommends and implements marketing strategies and tactics that employ multiple channels (direct mail, email/Web, tradeshow/event, sales presence, etc.) to achieve business goals for products and services for one or more areas, product lines, or market segments. Additionally the Marketing Specialist reports on effectiveness of strategies, supports sales prospecting and sales/agency relationship activities by recommending and executing tactics for client business meetings, client appreciation events, and tradeshows.
Responsibilities:
- Works with business subject matter experts, Marketing Analyst and others to determine the scope of strategic marketing initiatives and tactics and recommends solutions.
- Manages campaigns from concept to launch and reports on results.
- Manages in-house and outsourced resources, including graphic designers, support staff, mail houses, promotional vendors, etc.
- Manages and develops, direct mail, sales brochures, e-mails, booth display graphics, other collateral (invitations, surveys, etc.) and website content to use in tactical execution of marketing strategic plans.
- Works with event owners to plan and execute logistics for tradeshows and client events.
Requirements:
- BS degree in related field (Marketing, Journalism, Communications)
- 2-5 years proven experience in a multi-channel, direct-marketing environment in order to facilitate and execute the responsibilities listed above.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
