Pepco Energy Services, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc. and one of the nation’s most successful energy marketers.  We are seeking a Marketing- Technical Writer to join our Energy Services team.  This person will assist the sales department in writing marketing support materials for customer facing documents, proposals and other marketing materials. 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Sales team and Marketing Manager in the development of marketing collateral material (proposal text, brochures, website, awards submissions, newsletter, etc.) to help position corporation for a competitive advantage
• Research, organize, write and edit marketing content for both technical and non technical audiences
• Develop customer Case Studies and white papers
• Participate in trade shows and marketing events
• Develop templates for the proposal library

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS Degree in English or Communications or equivalent experience required
• Marketing and or Technical writing experience required
• Writing samples giving examples of technical writing support
• PowerPoint and Word software
• Excellent writing, editing, proofing, organizational, analytical, oral, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on short-term assignments with tight deadlines
• Ability to translate technical information into documents for technical and non-technical personnel
• Excellent web and database research skills
• Ability to function effectively alone and as a member of a team
• Familiarity with using standard style manuals
• Ability to work with peers to develop engaging text to be used in marketing literature
• Ability to use various desktop publishing software, including Microsoft 2007 products
