Job Summary:
The selected candidate will investigate, review and settle complex Mass Tort claims involving asbestos, silica, toxic waste, pollution, and pharmaceutical litigation. These include litigated bodily injury claims.

Responsible for the selection and direction of counsel as well as active participation in litigation and case strategy development. This is an excellent opportunity to put your degree and experience to work in an innovative and important way.

Job Qualifications:
To qualify you should have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent with 5 years of related claims experience. Experience in handling liability claims and/or experience in the environmental sciences field a plus. A Juris Doctorate is highly desirable.

Job Accountabilities:
1. Manages a pending of claims to conclusion/resolution in accordance with Best Practices.
2. Manages independent adjusters, experts and consultants.
3. Responsible for selecting and managing defense counsel.
4. Responsible for developing case strategies, claim evaluations and claim resolution.
5. Responsible for reviewing and interpreting policy language as well as drafting coverage position letters.
6. Is the customer contact.
