Nuvera currently has the following position available in its Billerica, MA USA location.


 


Nuvera is seeking a Materials and Inspection Coordinator to join our team. The Coordinator will be responsible for inspecting, testing, packaging, stocking, handling and distributing parts, assemblies, tools and equipment. This person will also be responsible for quality control and inventory accuracy in the execution of applicable procedures and transactions.


 


Essential Job Responsibilities:


• Work with the Materials Planner and Quality Assurance Engineer to coordinate inspections (receiving, in-process and final) on all inventory requiring inspection.


Inventory Management:


• Receive incoming components, count, verify paperwork against P.O. for accuracy, label and store parts in proper locations.


• Receive manufactured components - count, verify labeling, serialization, if applicable and store parts in the proper locations.


• Maintain orderly and debris free stock rooms.


• Perform daily cycle counting.


• Engage in all physical inventories as they come due.


• Create and maintain Kanban system


• Responsible for delivering parts to production and storage areas.


Quality:


• Inspect and test mechanical and electrical assemblies, and systems to ensure compliance with specifications:




  • Responsible for making conformance or nonconformance decisions     (that do not require design engineering input) upon completion of a visual, measurement inspection or test procedure.


  • Responsible for maintaining records that fully reflect the inspections performed and marking items for acceptance or rejection.


  • Clean and maintain test equipment and instruments to ensure proper functioning. Ensure that equipment is operating according to specifications.

Complete necessary procedures to satisfy quality requirements, and indicate concurrence with acceptance or rejection decisions. This includes:




  • Collecting parts or samples for testing, and computing findings.


  • Assisting and consulting engineers and other stakeholders regarding inspection results, and compiling reports of results, recommendations, and needed repairs.


  • Completing First Article Inspections of components.


  • Testing and measuring (under engineering guidance) finished products, components, or assemblies for proper assembly or functioning to verify adherence to engineering specifications.


  • Assisting engineers and/or qualified technicians in starting and operating finished products for testing or inspection.


  • Assist engineers and/or qualified technicians in installation of new or replacement parts, components, and instruments.

Other:


• Assist Shipping and Receiving Coordinator with handling, packing, shipping  procedures. Ensure inventory is properly identified, stored/packaged and protected from damage at all times.

Job Qualifications: (required unless otherwise noted)


Educational Background


Associates Degree.


Previous Work Experience


• 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment and inventory accuracy


• Capable of using material handling, mechanical inspection and test equipment. 


• Experience with mechanical inspection techniques and proficient at reading drawings.


• Experience with interpretation of dimensioning and geometric tolerancing rules.


Special Skills and Abilities


• Strong Computer Skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with an ERP system a plus.


• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities.


• Regular attendance is required to perform the position’s essential job responsibilities.


Physical requirements/work environment


Office and laboratory environments.  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required.
