Mechanic/Diesel/Welder  Job Description:

Well established Chicago steel manufacturing company is currently hiring for mechanic/fabricators. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a very large and successful company with a chance for career growth. They are seeking candidates with positive attitudes and a strong desire to work hard. They are hiring for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts but ALL candidates MUST be willing to work ANY shift and HEAVY overtime. Also, candidates MUST be willing to learn new skill sets.

Job Description:

*Previous experience with maintenance duties in a steel mill or heavy industrial environment is a MUST
*Previous diesel mechanic experience is a PLUS
*Overhead crane repair and maintenance is a PLUS
*Knowledge of power trains including gear boxes, transmissions, bearings, couplings, motors and braking systems is a MUST
*Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulics and pneumatics is a MUST
*Welding experience with either MIG, TIG or Stick is a MUST
*Candidates must be willing to work heavy overtime
