We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Assembly Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
Mechanical Assembly Technician
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Final Assembly Mechanical Technician will be primarily responsible for assembly and test of UAV airframes and flight control surfaces.
• The Final Assembly Mechanical Technician primary functions will be drilling, fastening, installing and testing aircraft components to fully assemble UAV airplanes.
• He or she will also be responsible for assisting in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
• 5-10 years experience with aerospace assembly and/or maintenance.
• Experience with both aerospace assembly hand tools and power tools.
• Experience with fabrication and assembly of composite components
• Machining and mechanical fab skills a plus.
• Ability to read, interpret and update mechanical and electrical schematics and drawings.
• A&P licence a big plus.
• Knowledge of 2D or 3D CAD programs (AutoCAD, Graphite, Solidworks, etc) a plus.
• Experience in an R&D test setting a plus.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Troubleshooting skills.
