Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Senior (or Lead) Mechanical Engineer with a design background in Power Generation projects (non-nuclear). This position is located in Boise, ID. You need to have 15 years of facility and industrial design with 5 years in Power Plant design. Great benefits including relocation assistance. Pay negotiable depending on experience. Responsibilities - Act as Lead Mechanical Design Engineer for Power Generation (fossil/geothermal) projects
- Develop or direct others in the development of P&IDs, equipment specifications, material requisitions, data sheets, equipment arrangements, 3D equipment models, pipe routing and other engineering for power generation facilities
- You will be responsible for technical writing; sizing/selecting equipment and piping specialties for systems; reviewing vendor submittals; supporting and coordinating with other engineering disciplines as needed
- Provide supervision and mentoring to other engineers and designers
Requirements - BSME, and PE registration in one or more states
- 15 years of facility and industrial system design with a minimum of 5 years in power plant design
- Knowledge of mechanical systems design, P&IDs, and power plant equipment
- Knowledge of ASME B31.1, NFPA and other codes
- Advanced knowledge in turbine and boiler equipment and system requirements
