Job Description:

Infotech Aerospace Services, Inc., an engineering services company, is a Pratt & Whitney joint venture located in Isabela, Puerto Rico.

The Mechanical Design Department is responsible for all design aspects of new and existing military and commercial jet engine hardware, including design for weight, cost, manufacturability, optimization, hardware conceptual design, engineering changes to existing hardware, and repairs.

The principal specialist position is the highest individual contributor technical position within the mechanical design department. Candidates must possess the fundamental understanding of the underlying mechanical design principles associated with jet engines.  Job responsibilities include the configuration of hardware components, systems, and repairs through conceptual, preliminary, detail and validation phases. Tasks are typically multi-disciplinary in nature and often require support of product design reviews and generation of technical documentation.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have BS/ in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. MS or PhD preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in Mechanical design of aircraft engines.
• Strong CAD skills, preferably in Unigraphics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience leading, coaching, and performing reviews.

·         Ability to effectively respond to inquiries and present information to groups and senior management.

·         Demonstrates high work ethics, punctuality and effective time management. Goes the extra mile to get the work done on schedule.

·         Maintains confidentiality of technical data as well as of employee information.
