Advanced Integration Technologies LLC (AIT) is head quartered in Chandler Arizona, and is a manufacturer and integrator of precision equipment for a wide array of industries to include: Semiconductor, Medical, Aerospace, Solar, Consumer and Industrial.

The Mechanical Designer is responsible to design mechanisms and mechanical components using traditional engineering knowledge.  This position will perform design engineering work from concept stage to creation of drawings needed to manufacture the parts.

Essential Functions:

·         Must be familiar with system design from concept through detailing and release for production.

·         Must be familiar with material, process, and other pertinent specifications needed for the design, drafting & manufacturing of mechanical components.

·         Generate accurate/complete/clear manufacturing drawings of company products from 3-D CAD models generated by engineers using SolidWorks

·         Generate CAD models of parts and assemblies from sketches and mark-ups

·         Generate assembly drawings and Bills of Material from assembly models

·         Prepare layouts/models based on design specifications and create detailed drawings of parts based on the layout/model

·         Calculate and verify that the design meets the specifications

·         Design to cost goals and design for manufacturability and testability

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s preferred or related equivalent experience

·         3-4 years of component and system design utilizing Solidworks and ProEngineer

·         Understanding of mechanisms

·         Deep understanding of drawing standards, formatting, and dimensioning included basic GD&T

·         Show initiative and a sense of ownership by learning to be self-sufficient at task, but quick to ask questions when uncertain

·         Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines

·         Presents a professional, positive image that reflects well on the organization

·         Must have good communication skills (Written & Verbal).
