Mechanical Designer
Part time - Temporary
The Kurt J. Lesker Company, is a dynamic, rapidly growing manufacturer and distributor of thin film deposition systems and components for the vacuum technology market. Our products and technologies are used for various research and production applications, including: semiconductor manufacturing, automotive coatings, night vision goggles, and solar cells.
This is an entry level position where the employee will be responsible for modification of standard designs and development of mechanical assemblies based on standard products. This person will modify current products for new projects and Produce detailed schematics for mechanical components. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on direction to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of routine tasks. Ability for follow directions and ask questions is expected.
This person will also detail mechanical components and revise standard models used in the KJLC product lines, create Bills of Material in the corporate ERP system and interface with our internal machine shop to determine cost effective manufacture.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Degree in Mechanical Design
- 3D CAD experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T skills
Preferred
- Experience with Solid Edge or other mid-range modeling package
- Experience with PVD, CVD, or ALD vacuum system design
