Mechanical Engineer- CAD, metal fab and AutoDesk Inventor required

Job Description

Modis (a leader in the I.T. staffing industry) has a terrific permanent hire position in Newberry, SC for someone with the following skills and work experience:

Responsibilities include the design, development, and documentation of track geometry and rail profile mechanical systems.  B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university is required. A minimum of two years experience in structural design is required.   Experience with bolted and welded assemblies is preferred.   A working knowledge of stress and fatigue, and shock and vibration analysis is required.  A working knowledge of common metal fabrication and machine shop practices is required.  Experience with CAD solid modeling and documentation is required.  A working knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor is preferred.  Experience with railway track or railway vehicles is a plus.  Experience with optical systems is a plus.
